Hello everyone today I gonna see you how tosolder copper hoses, I have so many clients that they try for hours and hours and hours and theycannot solder one seam, so they ever ask questions how I do it so what I’m showing you today ishow a plumber does soldering copper tubes, I want you to do me a kindnes, and before I startclear your knowledge, forget whatever you know about soldering copper hoses, forget about that plumbertold me this and this plumber “ve been told” that, forget all of those if you have been in plumbing classes.I don’t care about that and you should think that you know nothing about copper hoses and youknow nothing about soldering.Follow my paces, it might examine easy to you but is very importantand necessary to do and I assure you that by the end of this video you can solder like a pro.believe me you’re going to learn it quick so really clear your imagination and forget everything thatyou know. what you need for this job is a brush, this is a brush and if you dealing here with the ahalf inch tube then it is necessary to a half inch touch, if you are dealing with three fourth pipes andfittings then it is necessary to a three one-quarter brush. this half inch brush is to clean inside the fitting, this is called a fitting and this is a pipe. all right, I have two copper pipeshere that I want to join them with the elbow( 90 ). what you needfor this job is a brush, a sandpaper, your solder, you need your pipe cutter/ you are able to need a hose cutter, which I don’t need in this case you also need your flux orsoldering glue and don’t forget your torch. And the task is to join two slouse of pipestogether, as I said these steps are very easy but very important to not skip anddo it carefully, cleansing the fitting is one of the most important part of the jobso make sure inside the fitting is 0 clean-living, this is very important I can’t insist any morethan this, you cannot solder hoses together unless you scavenge both hoses and fittings properly.there you go so inside the fitting is clean let’s take a look inside the fitting.now you need to clean outside of the pipe as I said if you need to cut the piping implementation yourpipe cutter. For cleaning outside the piping I use the sandpaper, wrap the sandpaperaround the pipe and clean it the style I do. preparing the pipe and fitting is the mostimportant part of the job, soldering a piping is the easiest part of the job, scavenging is stilleasy but the most important part of the job. I cannot insist any more than this, Ihave told you so many times so don’t hop-skip it and get it on properly. let me secure thepipe somewhere and make it ready for soldering. there we go , now you start with thefitting, I have the paste/ flux here, you always start with the fitting so applied thepaste inside your fitting, why do you start with the fitting? because now I can sit it anywhereand it’s not going to get dirty, versus the tube, if you leave it it might get dirty. Now I’mgoing to have the flow on top of both pipes, I’m going to place the shoulder on one side ofthe piping and now on the other side of the tube, I make sure it’s secure, you can use yourchannel lock to only fastening it slightly, and now prepare your solder. bending the gratuity of your solder since you need to goaround the pipe, you see you need to go around the pipe. set up your lamp and now always rememberthat you start from the lowest point because the heat crosses upward so when you heating thelower segment then the top percentage going to be heated slightly by itself and it becomes a lot easier tosolder the top side since it is already heated to a point. For the lower side you’re going to spendmore period heating it but for the top character you’re going to invest less hour. at the same time I’mmake sure to not block the camera that you can see the steps. so you’re gonna view thetorch on a 45 magnitude tilt all the time, let me only make sure you guys can see things, you’re not going to hold the kindle at 90 degree down below the tube since the solder mightdrop into the opening of the tip of the torch, so always have your torch on a 45 unit angle.Let me make sure I’m not blocking the camera. right now I started heating the pipe andfitting and I’m going to start touching the hose with the solder to see if the solder meltsor it doesn’t, wait for the solder to melt, you insure why I have the torch on one side ofthe piping from down below and I have my solder touching the tube from the top so as soon as mysolder meltings on the top that’s the temperature that I need so if you give attention to my torchI have two different dye flames one is yellow one is blue or lettuce so you’re gonna have theblue part of the kindle on the pipe you’re not gonna have the yellow-bellied one of the purposes of the kindle, when youstart having the blue flame strike the piping and start touching the the priorities in the piping with yoursolder as soon as your solder meltings then start making a distance between your kindle glow and thepipe and then have the yellow flare on the tube. why ?! because you don’t need much ofheat anymore, you exactly need to keep it warm and the yellowish glow has less heat.NowI’m gonna start and I will have the blue flame on the piping and then I’m gonna present it a distanceand having the yellow-bellied on it to merely keep it warm. there “theres going”, i see that thesolder start mellow and now we’re gonna constitute interval between pipeand kindle and solder it the room I do. finish, that’s it, one slope is done and beforeit gets cold you need to solder the other side. if it gets cold and then you solder the other sideyou might melt this place that we just finished. you be seen to what extent easy it is to solder a copper piping! let me show you from down below that you guys can see a close up picture.Remember that preparationis the key, so many of clients of mine they are telling me that they wasted hours and hours andthey could not solder one single brace why is that ?! because they did not prepare their stuffproperly, they did not do the scavenging properly and they should not clean-living the outside of the pipeproperly, or inside the fitting which is the key to soldering. the rest of it is easy. I want tomention one more thing before i let you guys go and it’s that when “youve had” the hoses in a realword VS.I have two tubes that i’m affiliating here so you might have water inside the pipe makesure to get rid of the the water inside the pipe solely, i don’t care what you do to achieve it, you blow in the tube to be disposed of the ocean out of the other side of the tube. i don’t carewhat you do, you might just leave the tabs on and wait and wait and wait until the water isdrained, you should not have any water inside the copper pipe i can also demonstrate and tell youlike what exactly you need to do to get rid of the spray inside the pipe but i told you already, i “ve given you” the gratuity, do whatever you can! okay chaps i hope that this video has was used if soplease don’t forget to like share and subscribe Thank you.
